I am trying to convert (hopefully in realtime) analogue video to SVCD (to play on a standalone) with my new Leadtek TV2000XP. Ive got the latest drivers & App & some other apps like PowerVCR, DVD2SVCD, Premiere 6.5 & a few codecs but dont know where to begin.

I was wondering what comination seems to work well for other people -Basically Im looking for a starting point.

Hardware wise Im using a AthlonXP @ 1720mhz, 768mb ram, 80gb promise raid plus a 2x20gb & 60gb drives, dualhead vdo, fwire + TV2000XP.

Also living in Australia - So PAL's my flavour

 I wasnt sure if this belongs in Newbies or Capturing Vdo Sorry!

The idea is crap, quality will be like shit. Capture to AVI using VirtualDub, then convert to SVCD using a decent encoder like CCE or TMPG.
