ogm causes freezing

I convertet 'Spy Game' with VirtualDub with DivX 5.02 Pro in 2-pass-Mode and the avi plays fine.
Then I muxed that avi and an ogg vorbis audio stream with OggMux 0.9.2 (and also ogmuxer) but the resulting ogm freezes after 12 seconds, while the sound is playing.
I have installed OggDS 0.9.9.4 and played the avi and the ogm with ms media player 6.4 and media player classic under winxp pro sp1.

Then I demuxed that ogm with ogmdemuxer and the resulting avi is playing fine.

what causes those freezings ?

I don't think you can have an audio stream in the avi when you mux it into an Ogm. Try to remove the audio file from the avi and then mux the Video and Audio that you extracted.

Try disabling the "Smooth Playback" setting on the DivX5 decoder config. That's usually the reason when DivX5 video's freeze (regardless of the container).

when I use the dffdshow filter to play back the divx 5.02 video stream in the ogm file all is fine.
So the problem is the divx 5.02 playback filter, which interferes somehow with the ogm file.

Yes thats the problem exactly, with no solution yet. I had posted that somewhere before, search for it and you'll see some more problems that arise with using Div5 in OGM.
