:(
Hello
I checked all the threads but didn't find the solution
I encoded pal video with cce 2.64 at 6000 Kbits CBr
I encoded audio at 224 kbits/s
I imported all the files in maestro
If I try the simulation, everything is fine.
As soon as I compile, I have the nice error msg: "invalid frame rate"
any clue? Because I don't understand at all.
Dvd maestro 2915a
Thanks

I finally found:
just wanted to tell you the problem was with NT4, I don't know why, it didn't want to compile but compile fine with win2k. Strange.
Maybe a problem with my NT4.If anyone cares!!!
have fun

I have the same problem on Win2k with this same version 2915a of Maestro.
My movie has a 23.976 fps rate (IVTC from 29.7 fps with avisynth). It was encoded with TMPGEnc using the '3:2 pulldown when playback' flag. I even used the 'Pulldown.exe' command line programm before importing into Maestro. Maestro says my movie has a 29.7 fps rate.
I don't know what to do. any clue?

I have the same problem, but I'm running v2.915 under Win2K.
My files import fine as 29.97fps and work just fine under the navigation simulation, but I get that Invalid Frame Rate error message when I try to compile it.
Has anybody had any luck figuring out what might be causing this?

I sincerely hope I'm not rehashig an old topic here! Apologies if I am...
Occasionally, when I go to compile my project in DVD Maestro 2.9, I get an error message that says I have an error: Invalid Frame Rate. However, nothing in my project is different from any other project I've compiled before and in fact, occasionally when I get this message, it works to just choose a different destination drive. Strange.
Has anyone encountered this before and know a way around it?
I have NTSC DV files created from Vegas Video (.m2v) with 48k stereo audio files, bitmaps and that's it.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I have the same problem in winXP SP1. In fact I just posted a question about this - sorry! I find that occasionally the problem goes away if I just select a different destination drive. Very strange indeed.

NOTE: Charlesdem, I merged your thread with this one, so apologies for the apparent lack of consistency in this thread, but it seemed the most logical option, rather than just deleting your other thread entirely. If you want it deleted, just leave a note here. Up to you.
Regarding the error, it's very weird. I have never (YET! :scared: ) experienced this myself. I'll watch this thread with interest.

Sounds to me like corrupt software. It's obviously not the OS or the individual hardware (more than one person has the problem). I can only imagine that you may have both obtained your software via the same corrupt method. As with Arky, I too have never seen such a problem. Good luck!

The problem may be caused by SMP code of Maestro. Try to set affinity of Maestro.Exe to 1 CPU only before compiling. Hope this helps.

Just to thank 'bigking75' for his advice 'cause I also encountered the problem and he solved it. I'm using Maestro v2915a with Win2k Sp3 on a Dual-PIII; I tried to compile several times a movie I made on my own, and was always getting the 'Invalid frame rate message'. Setting Maestro.exe affinity to only one CPU immediatly solved the problem.

Setting processor affinity worked for me also using a HT enabled p4... Thanks...

ctrl-alt-del -> (task manager) -> right-click dvdmaestro -> set affinity -> untick one box!

thank you! is it possible not to set the affinity always after launching dvdmaestro.exe ? So that the setting is always set to one cpu when launching dvdmaestro ?

u may also trick it to work if u delete all menus or fill them with a bmp. Ofcourse this is applicable if u dont use menus at all.
there's a utility around that lets you specify which processors a program should run on... err, do a google search, could be called runon or runoncpu
you could then put this in the shortcut for maestro.
