I used the last method posted by Asifanwar using the MPEG-2 One Pass VBR in CCE. The quality is excellent but the video is sped up.

Has anyone else had this problem.

Thanks

video is sped up?
Are you sure you have it set to maintain 29.97fps? (CCE2.66 now has the option to alter framerate, which we obviously dont want to do)

FYI: I tried CCE 2.66.01.06 which is suppsoed to have fixed the bug with multi-pass 3:2 encoding. It looks terrible! So I thought maybe it was the multipass and did a one-pass instead and it STILL looked terrible! I uninstalled .06 and reinstalled .01 and did the exact same one-pass and it looked great again. It seems they havent really fixed the bug but made it so it doesnt bail out and give you the error, but it ends up looking like poop.... (all interlaced and jerky)

I am note sure why you video would play fast though....
DVD2AVI with NO video setting
no fancy stuff in AVIsynth (just simple serving)
make sure the 29.97 box is checked
just check the 3:2 box
Dont apply any pulldown or anything afterwards.

Hope this helps.

Sorry - a correction....

CCE 2.66.01.01 does NOT have a framerate changing option.
CCE 2.66.01.06 has it (but we dont want to use it anyway)
