terminator 2 (german dvd) is really dissapointing

just got terminator 2 from the videostore here in germany and got really pissed of:

hairs and dust on the capture!
artefacts
2-channel-sound (english, 6 for german)
the effective resolution looks like far under 600xXXX

i was wondering if:
a, the english version was better
b, maybe a 2nd german version is known to anybody here

i decided to not even bother watching it.

look for this version: Terminator 2 - Ultimate Edition
DTS + DD 5.1 German
DD 5.1 English
dont know if the picture quality is better than yours but its the same as the r1 release as far as i know.
