hi can cce take a still image seq ...eg img001, img002...img999 and compile into an mpeg2 sequence?

Any suggestions how to convert still image sequences into mpeg2 suitable for DVD authoring??

use a video editing program, ie ulead videostudio/mediastudio or premiere, where you can drop all the clips onto the timeline at once with a predefined lenght.
