LP mode?

I have managed to find a way to copy movie's directly on to a dvd-r with my Panasonic recorder this works find for movies under (2) two hours I can use that disc in my computer dvd-r drive to read and write other copies if I choose. My question is what happens if the movie is over (2) two hours, and I need to goto (4)hour mode to copy it, will I still be able to duplicate it on the computer?

You will be able to duplicate it even if you put over 7 hours on it! the more you put the worse the quality of course.
