VGA-in on tv and player

I have Finlux 32" widescreen tv with VGA-in (640x480, 60Hz). I am using zoomplayer. I select anamorphic to zoom video to normal ratio (fullscreen image to widescreen tv is little wider than normal). But is seems that it doesnt work in every movie. How can I get image to normal in fullscreen mode? What does player do to movie when it is on fullscreen (if the movie is 640x480 it let be black bars on the top and on the bottom)? Does any one else use vga-in on tv?

If you have 4:3 picture, it is easiest to switch TV to "standard" mode - you'd have black bars on the sides of TV anyway. And in case of 16:9 movies, try "MPC (http://vobsub.edensrising.com) and "Zoom to 16:9 TV"
