Quicktime Audio Choppiness

I know this is somewhat OT, but I've had this problem before now and wondered if anyone knew what the deal was.

When playing some quicktime files (namely the new two towers trailer), the audio playback is quite choppy (my cpu is more than capable of playing it fine). Any ideas on how to fix that?

I had this problem and it was Gator causing the problem. I used Ad-aware to remove it and playback was fine after that.
