I have successfully split most of the movies I have. I'm able to keep the original menus, though there are a couple curiosities that plague me.
1) How do you tell the 1st disk to stop playing at the end of the movie. All my disk just freeze at the end of the vob file. My family just stares at the screen for 35 seconds until the sun sets in my head to change the disk.
2) Using Doom9’s splitting method, I’ve not seen an easy way to connect the remaining “scene selections” to the appropriate button on Disk 2.
3) (Like question 1) If I have deleted a vob section of the disk, pressing one of the video clips on the DVD would freeze disk. (I.e. pressing the deleted full screen version) One must eject the DVD, and start over.
4) Lastly, splitting a Vob leaves you a .ifo and .bup that sometimes doesn’t work. I copy the either original .ifo or .bup from the DVD or sometimes the files from the other recreated folder. Why is this? And why does some movie splits just don’t behave like they should?
