Wonder if any of you guys can help?
I’ve been reading up on the help, but just can’t manage to copy a > 4.3 Gb DVD to 2 DVD-R’s using ifo-edit. I’ve managed to strip single DVD-R’s no problems but these larger films are causing me grief.
Followed the ifo guide ‘splitdvd’ to no avail.
Here’s my steps and I would be grateful if anyone can tell me where I’m going wrong.
1. I rip the whole of Gosford park to my H/D using SmartRipper (Selecting all files)
2. Load up Ifo edit 0.932 and open VTS_01_0.IFO as this is where the film is based.
3. Create the disk 1 / disk 2 directories for ripping to.
4. 'VOB Extras -> Split to 2 DVD-Rs':
5. Select correct vob-unit, correct IFO tables, split 2 DVD-R’s, Remove P-Uops,macro vision, Adjust Vob Unit and Adjust Audio/Subp point.
6. set destination directories.
7. Set default split with correct IFO tables.
8. exit Ifo and rerun.
9. Copy from the original rip video_ts.* and vts_01_0.* (the split/rip files are now vts_01_*.vob and have not been changed yet.
10. Load up the ripped vts_01_0.ifo to find that I have 13 chapters.
11. Load up VIDEO_TS.IFO and edit VMG_PTT_SRPT Title_1 to read 13 chapters and saved the ifo.
12. Close Ifo and reopen to do the 'Get VTS Sectors' on both disc-folders.
DVD just locks up.
I’m also unable to play DVD as I get the error ‘* 1 out of 3 DVD video streams failed to render properly’
Know this is a long post, but any help would be appreciated.
