I'm really only a newbie to this MB, so keep this in mind.

I have been trying to use "Fair Use" for the macintosh, but I have been unable to get it to successfully mount/uncompress. I have failed both under OS 9.2.2 and X. I have downloaded the file 5 times, and though it completes the download flawlessly, once it is taken to my Mac, it is not recognized as a proper file.
As I live in rural Jersey, I cannot get a reliable internet connection at home and must download from a library PC and then take it home on floppy (or ZIP).
I'm fairly certain this is what is causing the problem, but have no way around it. I was wondering if there was a mirror for this software or someone that might be able to e-mail me a copy of it in a form other than .SMI.

Secondly, I have been successfully ripping Region2 DVDs for images (with a Region1 fixed DVD-RAM) using osex, but have been unable to get past the DVD-RAM region encoding with anything else. Therefore, I have been unable to get still images from the image gallery section of the region2 DVDs, and was wondering if someone knew of a way to get around this problem (as osex only rips video streams, not stills).

I believe there is an X version, and if not, i think the classic version works in X.
