what I want to do is take the audio played by a video and encode it directly to mp3. I have tried hooking my audio output jack to my audio input jack but it doesn't work (probabley some copyright protection software)

I have a medion 2ghz pentium 4 computer

the main thing I need it for is to encode the audio of a quicktime file into mp3 to mux with a divx file that has been converted from the quicktime format using TMPGEnc; I have already specified an audio encoder for TMPGEnc but it doesn't produce any audio;

the audio from the quicktime file I am trying to encode is IMA 4:1
that isn't so much relevant as the quicktime movies I am trying to encode are star wars fan films and all of them use a different audio codec.

I appreciate any help you people can give me

I've recorded the audio, but it still has this beeping sound when I play it on the computer, Are there any settings that I need to change on the program?
