How do you make Disc 1 go to Menu ?

I've been splitting movies to 2 discs with sucess. However, During playback , At the end of Disc 1, I want the DVD to go to the Menu, rather than just freeze up. On the Ifoedit player when the DVD gets to the end of the chapter, I get "Illegal Navigation Error" and Ifoedit player freezes.

I also want Disc 2 to go back to the menu after it is finished. Some of my Split disc do this automatically.

Is there a Post command I need to insert for discs that don't go to the menu after they are finished?

Go to the VTS_PGCITI in your movie .ifo file. double click on it, and a list of PGC's will come up. click on the relevant pgc. If you scroll down you'll see that there is a PGC command table. See where the post command points to (LEAVE THAT ALONE).

Now. Open VIDEO_TS.ifo. click on VMGM_PGCI_UT and click on the relevant program chain menu that was in the post command in the movie ifo file. Go to the PGC command title, change it so that the pre-command points to the menu. That should od the trick.

If you have no idea what i'm talking about........you'll need to do some studying on your own....

Yes a post command will do the trick.

It must be Call command, cause Jump commands doesn't work in titles.
Call TitleSet Rootmenu.

I went to the VTS_PGCITI of my movie ifo and found the PGC command table.
Found the Post command pointing to menu 11

Then opened the VIDEO_TS ifo and clicked on the VMGM_PCD_UT and went to the relevant program chain menu. Found PGC command table...not 'title' and tried to change the Pre command to point to the menu.

Derrow...I can not get the 'Change Command' to go to a 'Call command' All the drop down window allows me are 'Jump' commands.

I did change the pre command to go to the menu (using a 'jump command'), now Disc 1 goes to the main menu, but I get an error box popping up and I must close all 3 of them before the main menu allows navigation. (ifoedit player locked up until I clear the error boxes)

Will this be ok in a standalone DVD player? How to make a pre or post command 'Call commands'? I haven't run across that option yet.

Yep that's right. you can't do call commands yet. Hope derrow updates for us sometime soon. So you can't screw around with the VTS_PGCITI. That's why i told you to go back to video_Ts.ifo and change the JUMP TITLES commands in VMGM_P????_UT

It's hard to say. Make sure though that the command that you're changing is the final command after the movie vts are done playing.

So...waht you should do first is look at the original ifo file and see how the dvd jumps from vts to vts. So if movie ends (if movie is VTS_01 and then after it jumps to VTS_02, you have to make SURE you are changing the proper commands in VMGM_P????_UT. Sometimes there are multiple commands....remember. You have to change the one that points to VTS_02 and not the others.

Can't change that.

Test burn in DVD-rw. if you haven't bought one you better buy one and buy a non-generic to make sure with certainty that it isn't your media that's screwing things up. That 7$+ dvd-rw is well worht it.

And lastly. even if ifoedit says error it works on standalone lots of times.
