Use a product called DVD2AVI. Open the VOBs in DVD2AVI and save a project file. It will extract the audio streams during the save. You will likely end up with 2 files named xxxxxxxxxxxxxx3_2.ac3 and xxxxxxxxxxxxxx2_0.ac3. The 3_2 is 5 channel AC3 (3 front, 2 surround) whilst the 2_0 is 2 channel surround. Both are AC3.

Erm, Dolby Digital CDs donīt have vobs!

i read that ac3 can be recorded via spdif-in and then the wav simply renamed to ac3 works
i thought maybe itīs posible to read the audio from cd to file and then itīs just like the recorded wave mentioned before and works as an ac3 file...
