I have a few AVIs that constantly get
"VideoSourceAVI[ICDecompress] error: unspecified error (-100)"
no matter what processing method I use using virtualdub/nandub.
Even if I select "scan for errors" and "save as avi" it fails with above error. Using divfix with "cut bad parts" sometimes works but since it cuts parts of video it affects the audio sync, and still it doesn't remove all bad frames, so further procssing with virtualdub fails with above error.
A workaround I found was to treat the affected frames using AviDeFreeze. I give adjacent keyframes of the damanged frame and the resulting movie is processed OK using virtualdub/nandub. The problem is to find these bad frames... Is there an easy way to scan the video and get a list of all the bad frames?
What I do now is save pieces of the movie from where it last failed using virtualdub. The problem is that sometimes I can't easily translate the relative frame to the actual frame in the movie..
bottom line question: Is there an easy way to get a list of the damaged frames... Or better yet, an easier way to process such files with bad frames..
Thanks!
