ATV2000 Capture application

I just fell onto a capture application which says it is together a TV-viewing and capture application. It says that it can capture both VFW and WDM. From what i understood without wrappers but directly. Having presets for capturing and timing features by using task scheduler is something interesting indeed.

What remains is trying it out.
Something strange about this program is that it's not widely spread. I searched "google" and found very few results on this. Almost no discussions about it, just some sites which gave links to it homepage.....i almost forgot it's

ok,i ve made some tests:it drops few frames ( sound too ) when switching from one segment to another (just like iuVCR does!)
this is NOT good thing!
(my estimate:it drops cca half of a second (in hi-motion scenes that's far too much....))
looks like i (too) will stick to vdub: that way (even in segmented mode) nothing is lost.......

Of course there is segmented capturing. Not that i've tried ot but just seen "maximum filesize" option inside capture preferences. For example you could set it to 2048 MB.

Now on the other side i'm having problems properly identifying my Hauppage Wintv card since the user must specify the card using. Maybe it directly access capture card. What i want to say that though my card uses Bt8x8 chip if i choose it some errors pops out. But if i choose General WDM everything goes fine. P.S Now using Btwincap open source drivers.

Well, it works quite well in segmented mode (Isn't there a vdub enhancement which accesses the wdm bttv driver? ;) ).
But -unfortunately- this WDM capture seems to introduce A/V asynch in changing amounts, sometimes it's point accurate, then it's less, then more again, and so on.

So sticking with vdub for now...
