Hi, i have a question about audio cutting. I made a 3 Disk SVCD and thought everything was fine. i used 5.1 sound and after i deleted everything but the finished .mpg i realized i had a high pitched noise during the hole movie. Now i want to do it again but only the audio and then mux it with tmpeg. How can i do it ( and keep the movie sync). I dont know how and where to cut the audio.
Thanks for your help

i've read this before, i think you need to do 384kpps for audio when doing 5.1 or else you will get the noise....
about cutting, you will need to rerip the ac3 file then use besweet to convert the ac3 to mp2...once you have your mp2 file you can use bbmpeg to mux your existing video with your new audio...i think you can do a crash recovery starting at bbmpeg so the rest of the process will be automated.

Thanks for your reply but my problem is that i have only the 3 small mpg (800mb) and the vob. I need to know how to "jump over" the Video Encoding part directly to muxing and cutting.

To have the Muxing & Cutting option available in the Crash Recovery dropdown available, open the "dvd2svcd project file.d2s" file in Notepad (or equivalent), and change the number in the project position line to 62. Make sure you already have all the files you need in order to pick up from this stage, however, because otherwise it won't work.

you will have to do video encoding over actually now that i think about it...if you have 3 files at the already maximum of 800mb when you recode the audio you will come up with 3 images that won't fit on the cd's...unless you just want to span it across 4 cd's (yuk, 3 is bad enough imo)....

No that is not my problem.
From the beginnig: I did the normal DVD2SVCD thing with 5.1 Audio. After everthing was finished i deleted the whole folder exept the finished mpg.(Audio+Video). After i burned it i figuered out that there was a problem with the audio. Now i just want to to the Audio again and exchange it with the audio in the finished mpgs.
Thanks

yes...the problem with recoding the audio is that to remove your noise in the background you have to make the audio bitrate 384kbps which is more than you did last time (i assume)...since you are making it more when you want to go remux the old video with new audio you will end up with file sizes that won't fit on a single cd...
unless you just want to reencode the audio with the same low bitrate as before and remove the mpeg5.1 audio and use standard stereo audio this will work too...
if you take this approach once you rerip the audio then you can use tmpge to remux your files back together.
let us know what you want to do and ask if you have any more questions.

@hoozdapimp
the second thing you mentioned is exactly what i want to do.
And i started to encode the audio already. But now i got one big mp2 file and i dont know how and where to cut it to fit the video.

maybe someone else can come up with a better method...
first use tmpge to merge the new audio with the old video.
go into mpeg tools, and under the multiplex tab add your 3 mpg files...make sure your files go in the right order of time...you will see 6 video streams, 3 video and one audio..remove all the audio streams. now you should have 3 video streams left (part1,part2,part3) from top to bottom...next add your mp2 stream...choose a new filename to save it as and make sure you mux it as a supervideocd and wait for it to finish..
once this is done you should be able to do a crashrecovery starting with bbmpeg (using ultimate's method mentioned above) to split the files, or you can split them up yourself using bbmpeg..your choice
i hope this is not too painful (and it works  )

If you didnīt use overlap seconds, i think this is the best method. Otherwise it wonīt work, and redoing the whole process would be the only proper solution.
