Has anyone had this problem or knows the answer please
I have tried to rip and burn a dvd of Monster Inc to vcd-svcd
in the rip it leaves the 1st ifo file empty thus missing the 1st 20mins of the movie I have tried 3 different ripers but same result different pc same result
Is this a new copy protection ?
Any ideas please?! :)

what u r describing bells like u have a missing vob file, that is about 19-30 mins. What I can't understand is how the 1st vob of a movie doesnt get ripped. Is it because u didnt include it in your selection list upon ripping?
There r movies that change the CSS key every vob. Maybe this is your case. On your ripping program check the appropriate options.

Maybe you've already done this? If not, give it a try. --> SmartRipper, using "Movie" mode.
SmartRipper in "Movie" mode will automatically select Angle 1 of the longest program chain.
