help on vfapi read codec

Can anyone help trying to get vfapi reader codec to work got the guide read still can't work it out or missing something OK this is what I do unzip files and get two folders one codec and one reader files and one readme file. Double-click on vifpset.bat file then DOS window comes up on the top left-hand side corner it say is (finished-vifpset) close the window down. OK then the guide are asked to double-click on the(proxyoff.reg file) where it is this file and what is nandub and what question to answer yes too!
Open up cce load the movie under file types choose all files so I can see the file (movie.d2v) click on that file which is the movie then warning comes up saying(AVI file open "F:\movie\movie.d2v" according to the registry type of files specified in AVl file open does not have a handler to process it?

no offence but as we say here in Greece, u have missed episodes.

when u create the d2v file u have to open vfapi codec, add the d2v project and convert it to an pseudo avi file, that u import to CCE.

of course u must not under any circumstance move the avi, or d2v or the original files from their positions.
