Machine locked up during capture-need that AVI

Hello, all. Now I have tried everything that I know with this problem. But I know nothing about this, so I thought I should pose it to others.

I captured all of one TV show and most of another (:devil:) before my machine locked up. So now I have this 34 GB avi on my drive that VDub won't open...is there anyway I will be able to open this file? This is, by the way, a HuffyUV capture, not DIVX.

Any help would be much appreciated...

what's the error message in vdub?
when i account similar cases (powercut,etc)
vdub will help:it reconstructs "missing index block"
then,if keyframes were lost too (vdub notes me of this)
i'll have to reopen that file:in "open box"->popup extended
open options->mark "rederive keyframe flags"...

however you should play with that extended open options:cause
if vdub cannot open it,who can? (aviutil prehaps?..hehe)

yes I have tried that option...I think that iuVCR didn't write the end of the avi or something...I will try aviutil though and let you know
