View Full Version : Using VCD/AC3 instead of DD-WAV

It appears that I am not able to use the Dolby Digital WAV-files generated by BeSure. Neither my PC nor my stand-alone DVD player seem to recognise the format.

Can I use VCD with 384kbit AC3 (or SVCD with 384kbit) and use them as audio CD's? Would that be possible and a wise thing to do?

I would probably need to add some dummy video signal - just a black screen or so?

The VCD and SVCD standards accept MP2 sound only. Anything else is out of the standard.

@jansb000
it is possible, but it isn't as efficient (in meaning of playback-length vs size) as BeSure's result.
anyway, this won't avoid your system's problem.
