I've downloaded some english episodes of simpsons (here (http://www.simpsons.ru)) and I just can't convert them to KVCD using TMPEG!
I tried tinra... but it didn't work as tinra can't use Real One Player and the clip can't be played with the old real player 8 (player want's to download new player)...
Is there any avisynth plugin that can decode real?

...so there is no solution?
(Writing a simple "NO!" would satisfy me);)

Have you tried Eo-video or Real7ime Converter (I haven't tried this one)?

Or TINRA? (See www.vcdhelp.com)

TINRA doesn't work with real one player and as the video file can't be played with any older player I can't use it (real player 8 tells me to update to real one player when i want to play the clip)
Eo-video is very slow and doesn't work either (it worked, but then it suddenly stopped to work... don't know why...)
Real7ime didn't work either (as it is only for urls and file:/// doesn't work)

if you use EO (make sure you have the latest) convert to avi first.. then to mpeg.. its an extra step.. but has worked best for me

After I tried it on my own Real7ime seems to work fine (a friend of mine was just too stupid to get it working). It has a nice GUI isn't too complicated...
The only problem:
The avi files created by Real7ime/EOVideo/TINRA are unplayable because of a missing header! The first bytes till position 000007EC are only zeros!
Then text begins like this:
00db| ......... .H...P.A.`......DivX501b481p........`.m..m
(this should be an avi header?! I can see DivX5, which was the codec I used)
I can extract working wave files, but the avis are damaged... (Same happened when I tried EOVideo)
What's wrong???

Try a diffrent codec if you havent already done that. Perhaps it just hiccups with DivX. EO-Video worked fine for me transcoding to HuffYUV (albeit for some strange reason i can only transcode one file, then i have to restart)
Cheers

no codec works... it's an avi problem (mpeg works)
