Hi!
I'm quite a newbie and my problem is with Monsters Inc R2 dvd.
I ripped it with dvddecrypter and used Ifoedit to get out only the movie and the menues.
I burned the dvd (pioneerA04) and it played well.
My problem is that I have a lot more space on the dvd left (about 500megs) so I wanted to get some extras on it, but that doesn't work on the pc with windvd(It quits).
How can I have the extras running? The main movie is vts01 and the 2 extras are running from vts02, vts04 and vts06. Is there a faq or article for this sort of ripping?
Thanks

I'm a bit confused with your post as 500 megs is'nt a 'lot of space' considering that 1 x film VOB file is double that.
If you want to keep extras you really need to be ripping the whole DVD and looking at what's there. Then you can decide what to keep etc. It's much easier to look at the whole thing first and then cut out what you don't want to get it down to size.
Have a look here http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/derrow/copy.html and ofcourse the excellent Doom9 guides.

So, I will try to correct myself.
1) I ripped the whole dvd of Monsters Inc PAL R2.
2) I played the film with Ifoedit wich told me that Title 1,2,4,5 was played. These title are VTS1 and VTS2.
3) I also played 3 extras (each time restarting Ifoedit), so vts4 vts5 and vts6 is also needed.
4) I transferred all thing concerned the main part. I took out some extras (languages and subs).
5) I transferred the rest (needed for the 3 extras), and tried to play the film with windvd, but the extras are not working
6) It works with the player of Ifoedit.
7) will it play on the dvd-r? Oh and do I have to get vts sectors for th vts4-5-6 too?
Thanks

Run the VIDEO_TS.IFO in the VIDEO_TS folder and if all you want works fine in the player for Ifoedit - all you have to do is run Get VTS sectors in one of the IFO files (it will automatically do all the IFO & BUP files in the VIDEO_TS folder).
As long as you have done the other steps correctly - the folder should now be ready to burn and should play in a stand-a-lone DVD player.
You should'nt need to restart Ifoedit between the film & the extras. Starting VIDEO_TS.IFO should let you navigate around between the film and the extras. You can return to the main menu as often as you like in Ifoedits' DVD Play. Then when you exit it will give you a list of all the titles visited. I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot! I'll try out.
By the way, when I open the video_ts in the smaller directory (I mean the movie without the the other languages) with IfoEdit and click on Get VTSsectors, and it does something, do I have to save it or it saves automatically?, and If I choose save then It shows me the vts_x_XX.ifo to save, is this a bug?

I'm not sure. The .IFO files have to be in the same directory as the rest of the VOB & BUP files. Get VTS sectors should update all of the IFO & BUP files in the directory and tell you what it has done. You have to click a few times depending on the number of files that need updating. If it comes up with a 'save' prompt at the end - I would say yes as it can't hurt -
