hi,

i tried to backup "children of the corn". the audio stream in the .vob files is a .wav stream (PCM). when i try to get the audio out (within gknot -> dvd2avi) the resulting .wav file is twice as fast as it should be ?!?
since i do not know another way to get audio out i tried then to play back the movie and record the audio into a .wav - did not work as well (no signal).

can someone explain what the problem with the too fast .wav is ?
does someone know other ways to get the audio out (with the right tempo).
finally if all that will not work, can someone tell how to record the audio when playing back the .vob files ?

thanks a lot.

Try to rip the audio with smartripper my friend!
Also have you change the channel format to dolby digital of dvd2avi?

I hope that this can help you!

I think that XMPEG can extract audio from .vobs. Though of course I don't know if it'll work better than DVD2AVI.

first of all - yes, it's a mono stream.

i finally found out how to get the audio stream with smartripper. but it has a problem with the last vob file (the other audio streams seems to be ok). is there a way to tell the smartripper to get the audio from files that are already on your harddrive ?

why don't you use BeSweet v1.4RC8 with the M2S plugin ? (direct vob->mp2)
