Using IFOEdit to re-create VTS_01_0.IFO for movie with multiple PGC?

Hi, I am a newbie to DVD authoring and just made a really silly mistake and don't know how to correct it.
I was following the CCE/IFOedit guide to encode Titanics (with 2 PGCs), everything was going OK until the last step where I have to use IFOUpdate to update the VTS_01_0.IFO file.
I missed out the step in the guide where it said I had to rename the VTS files produced by Scenarist to the original VTS names and then copied the VTS_01_X.VOBs file to the original location.
I didn't have to rename the VTS files in this case as the original and the new VTS are the same name ie. VTS_01_x.VOB, but I forgot to then copies these files to the original location.
As the result, instead of updating the original IFO file, IFOUpdate updated the file produced by Scenarist :(
I try the HD playback method and the movie played fine, so I decided to delete all the other files that I don't need to clear up spaces.
I then try the HD Playback method again and try to turn on the subtitle. Only then I realised the mistake I made, as the menu still showed me the other languages' subtitle, eventhough there is only the English subtitle in my movie.
Because the IFO produced by Scienarist was deleted, I tried to use IFOEdit to recreate the VIDEO_TS.IFO and VTS_01_0.IFO. Am I correct in saying that IFOedit can't recreate the VTS_01_0.IFO with multiple PGCs correctly? If not, how would you do it? If it is, are there any software that will recreate the IFO file correctly when it comes to multiple PGCs in the movie?
I still got the Orignal Titanic DVD, if the original VTS_01_0.IFO is needed.

If you can tell me, how IfoEdit should know which parts of the VOB file should be in which PGC, I could enhance the IFO creation.

Thanks for replying, but I really can't answer your question.
As I said in the previous post, I'm only a newbie, and only follow the instructions. To be honest, I don't know how all the softwares work, and I would not have a clue on the technical side of DVD encoding and authoring. I only asked the question because I did not want to spent another 6 hours or so doing the encoding again, and I was not sure whether IFOEdit can fix up the problem for me.
If you can add this feature in your future releases, then it would be great. In the meanwhile, I just have to re-encode the movie again.
