So, I am at the end of my way...i tried all your suggestions, still I cant encode with Divx5.
History:
) Installed 0.21 and 0.26 update
) installed 0.26.1 update
) uninstalled divx 4 with add/remove software
) uninstalled Divx pro 5.02
) reboot
) installed divx pro 5.02
) comp check error
) manually removed divx slow and fast motion video codecs from codecs
) reboot
) reinstall divx pro 5.02
) encoding with divx5 was a success!! happy, cause i thought i have found the error.
) reboot...no divx4 is installe, no divx4 codecs are installed, even no new software is installed..encoding to divx 5-->comp check error
) checked resolution: original dvd pal 16:9 to 576/336 (first with 32, second with 16 multiplier)
) reinstaled divx pro 5.02, still same error
So where's my fault? Why can I encode in divx3 with no problem but with divx5 it does work one time, then never again???
Is there any suggestion what I could do now?
I can do all again but still i fear to get the same result, since I do not hink I made a false move :-(
I am really hoping for some helpfull thoughts of you,
