AI UK copy protection?

I've tried to rip AI the uk rental version (obviously i also own the original version ;) ), and it always locks up with a read error when ripping. It also does this when watching it on my pc, but it plays ok on a standalone player.

Has anyone else had this problem? :confused:

I also forgot to say that i've had a few different rental DVDs (of AI) and they all do this, but in different places. The bloke a the the rental shop said I wasn't the first to report "lockups" when watching AI.:(

What rippers have you attempted this with?

I used DVD2SVCDs ripper. It also fudged up when played on my PC. I just wandered if anyone had experienced this with the same dvd (and if they found out why?).:confused:

Doubtful that a different ripper would make a difference since it also messes up on your PC, but attempt ripping with vStrip, and also attempt watching it with a different software player (WinDVD, PowerDVD).
