Hi there,
Big Problem! Everytime I try to recompress or convert the audio into
a CD-acceptable format, Nandub gives me the following reports:
1) ACM failed to suggest audio compression stream
2) AVIOutput: The parameter is incorrect
3) Fmt Tag:0x2000, Sample Freq:48000, Channels:2 , bitrate: 192.kb/s
My File Properties are:
Audio: Unknown Format
Video: 608x320, 16Bit, 25 fps, DivX Codec
DivX 3.11 alpha is installed over DivX 4.02, as well AC3 Audio Filters.
Windows Media Player plays the sound correct.
In Nandub/Audio/Compression only Divx;-Audio is shown but no AC3.
Any attempt to extract the sound with Nandub/VirtualDub and save it as
.wav resulted again in Audio:Unknown Format or the File is corrupted.
Renaming the .wav into .ac3 and trying with BeSweet failed. AVI2WAV
worked out but the sound had a lot of cracks so it could not be used.
Only extracting the sound with Goldwave, resampling it and adding it
with VirtualDub was a success. But it seems the sound is a fraction
too fast. At least better than nothing.
I think I read almost everything about Nandub but I can't find a way
to convert the sound.
Please, who can help?
Thank you in advance.

Your sound is AC3. To recompress with NanDub, you need AC3 ACM codecs. Your DirectShow filters are useless for that job.

Extract the sound to a file and recompress with external tools.
If NanDub rejects to extract the sound properly, use AVI-Mux GUI (http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~noe/Video-Zeug/AVIMux%20GUI/index-eng.html).

Thank you very much for the explanation. I will try AVI-Mux GUI
since Nandub rejects the service.
You mentioned the AC3ACM Codecs for Nandub where can I get them,
I couldn't find them.
Thank you :)

I'm not sure if there are ACM codecs for AC3 at all.

Well, thanks a lot for your help. I tried the whole day to find
something like AC3ACM Codec but it was a waste of time.
In the meantime I extracted the sound once again with Goldwave,
converted it to PCM 44100Hz etc and added it in VirtualDub
undet Audio/Wav/Direct stream copy/Interleaving with a value
of +50 for Delay. That was it! I think easier is not possible
except finding the correct value for Delay.
Thanks again. :) :) :)
