Hi all

I am having a mega issue with planet of the apes (2000). It seems in the main VOB's there is a directors commentary running through the film. To fix it i kept the original menu structure and pointed it at the non-commentary title-set, worked great.

Unfortunately it is too big for one DVD so i demuxed and squished using reMpeg. When i remuxed it back in the parts where the directors commentary is there is a second if pixelation.

Any ideas as it is driving me mad.

Many thanks for all the help and for people who post to this forum.

Somewhere around this forum is also an answer to your question about the pixelation. Basically, you cannot transcode a multiangle video stream because ReMPEG2 does not understand them, and so treats them as one stream. Due to the nature of mpeg using info from previous frames, after an angle break, ReMPEG2 is making reference to the wrong angle data. Until an I frame comes along, you get a smorgasbord of macroblocks from each angle.

Cheers mpucoder. I have used smart ripper to rip out the angles, IFO to create the IFO's and now a cheeky reMpeg to fit it on a DVDR.

Marvellous
