View Full Version : Sopranos: how to rip all the episodes in batch mode

I have been reading on similar topics on this forum and I still don't know how to do it.

As you already know, this dvd is composed of 4 episodes. What I want to do is make a batch file that will make dvd2svcd encode each episode and create a cube/bin image for it. I don't want to merge all the episodes and i'd like to keep the chapters in the svcds.

I could do all this just encoding each episode separately with dvd2svcd which is what I have done before but it means I have to be in front of the computer each time I encode a new episode, and that sucks :P

NOTE: this is not another one of those: "boohoo, I can't find the episodes I want to encode." I know all about the internal routine/vstrip limitations and I know how to encode each episode separately. I repeat, all I want is to make some kind of batch file which will do everything for me.

I guess I could also rip the vobs corresponding to each episode in a different folder or under different names but wouldn't that be redundant? It seems like an unprofessiona; way to do it anyways.

well, any suggestion?

that's what the DVD2SVCD batch mode/batch file is there for.

1) rip each episode to your HD
2) run the batch file that is in the DVD2SVCD dir
3) wait a long time
4) watch the sopranos
