Hey, there are some moderators who behave think they were god (not moderators in general, more like very few of them). If someone gets struck by a moderator there should be some possibility to correct this. There's gotta be a place to go when you feel like you're not treated right. I just feel more and more like living in some kind of monarchy or dictation or whatever...

forum rule 4: 4) Be nice to each other and respect the moderator. Profanity and insults will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with another member turn to the respective moderator and if the moderator can't help you send a private message to Doom9.
So the appeal court should be well known, but as usual courts don't like if you waste their time ;)

Well crook, we have some forum rules to make our life easier here.
People get struck for violating those rules.
A strike isn't the the end of the world - it's just a reminder that we have rules - and we have them for good reasons.
Duplicate threads are really painful for example, you have to follow both, you have redundant information, and finally everybody feels lost. Just one example.
And like Doom9 replied, if you have a problem with me, write him a PM, or PM me.
And be assured, I don't feel like god. I just try to use my time efficient and don't want to get lost in several threads about the same subject.

As a user of this board, I have to agree with the moderators who have replied. Remember, this isn't a service sponsered by the government, where, if you don't like an action taken, you can write your congressman. It's privately sponsered, and privately managed.
Honestly, I think the rules are very loose and moderate. In many other forums I'm part of, a person would be banned for a year or more for some of the abusive language and lack of respect I've seen posted. But I think they've show good restraint and continue to try to keep an even keel.
If you still don't agree with their rules and regs, you have the ultimate power - just don't post or view here. If the rules are that bad, then eventually no one else will and it would die.
...but it won't, because it's a good board with decent moderators.
