DVD2SVCD help ::: picture shaking all over the screen

I was trying DVD2SVCD yesterday for the 1st time using the guide provided on this site. I was using CCE v2.50 as the encoder.

I exactly followed all the steps in the guide and afterwards when I got my mpeg2, it was the picture and audio were of good quality BUT the pciture was moving all over the screen...like left to right and then up and down etc...

I then tried that chapter using different Interlacing technique and it wouldn't budge from the shakiness.

Can anybody suggest me what might be wrong here?

it seams you resised to dvd size and your player dont supprt that size. it makes the same in the pc ?
trie to resize to svcd size.
it would be nice if you post your ini file because i am only guessing ; )

Just wondering what does resize method 2 and 0 mean?

Just a guess, but it makes sense: 0 = Bicubic, 1 = Bilinear, 2 = Simple ... That would be true if the values are the same as they are listed in order in D2S.

here's a question...did you try playing with powerdvd?
my dad's dvd player does this on some svcd's too...it's his standalone that's the problem, not the actual encoding itself

plus, resize method shouldn't make any difference, just takes a little longer for bicubic and might look a tad better, but won't effect whether or not you can play it on your player.

I haven't yet tried the Resize=0 thing...

But I tried playing in Powerdvd 4 instead of Win Media Player 8 and it just looks fine...It is not shaking...Now I have to make a SVCD and see if my DVD player can handle it.

always try powerdvd or windvd or your standalone b4 you post q's here!

i was checking it in detail and it seams that the "problem" is in two places. the first place is in the dvd2svcd conversion box and in the aspect ratio selection, there you should use 4:3 or 16:9 and NOT anaformic because regarding your result in the tv it seams your player do not support this type of svcd size ( second problem , i have one player with the same " problem " :( )

i hope it work for you and forgive me for the bad directions i gave befoure, but it is by hard testing that one can learn the secrets of the art of perfect encoding

Thanks guys, the problem is resolved...The movie is working fine in my DVD player as well now. It was WMP problem. Aspect Ratio was not an issue.
