Derrow (and anyone else who could answer)

I read your "Idiots guide to keeping original Menu in DVD backup" and wondered something to myself,

" Could I use these steps to keep the original menu AND use that across two discs?"

Here's what I'm thinking; Following the steps to find and keep the minimum files so the menus work, and then following the necessary steps to split the DVD across chapter points. For a disc that is say 7.5gb. I'd have two discs, say 4gb each, each with the same menus, but the second disc would jump to the 2nd half of the movie if the user selects "Play Movie"

If it works, then after the first 1/2 of the movie is over, wouldn't it return to the menu? If so, that would solve the other problem I posted (about the abrupt end of disc 1).

Am I way off with this? Am I talking nonsense or is this possible?

Thanks, as always.

yeah you can. it's easy. if you look and search in this forum you can find plenty of info....look at the sticky post on top. one of them has the info on how to do it.

It will work on 99% of the discs (the method)...unless you run into a crappy company like US manga corps....if you want to read about taht (for future reference) look down on the frist page of this forum in ifoedit and it has a title of YOU ARE DVD MENU KEEPING GOD if.....
