I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how to correct the -66ms delay in my ac3 file (created with DVD2AVI). I am able to mux this file with an M2V in TMPenc's Mpeg2 multiplexer; but the delay is not tolerable.
Thanks,
Michael

I don't know if my answer can help you my friend!
Try to correct the ac3 with BESPLIT!
Try also the ac3 delay corrector!
from the doom9's download section or here _http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Audio/ac3delay_all.zip

here is your commandline :BeSplit -core( -input [infilename] -prefix [outpathname] -logfile BeSplit.txt -type ac3 -ending ) -split( 0.066 )
this will fix your ac3 file + compensate the delay, in the same way 'AC3 Delay Corrector' will do.

Hello!
Just a short question DSPGuru:
What delay has the ac3-file after having been corrected by Besplit with the above command? Is the delay 0 ?
Thanks in Advance.

if I'm not mistaken an AC3 frame is 32ms, so what you'd get is a delay of -66 + 2*32 = -2 ms but not a single human being on the planet is able to hear that ;)
