I try to mux the 5.1 ogg with the OggMux 0.9.2,
but when I play with the latest OggDS0993 installed,
the sound is not played (no sound), only the video.

but when I try to mux the 2.0 ogg + avi the audio is
played well. So is it OggDs0993 bug ?

PS. AC3 is played well on my machine without problem.

Thank you.

Hi,

same problem over here. I installed the ChannelDownmixer.ax from www.trombettworks.com (http://www.trombettworks.com). It's an auto loading DirectShow filter that takes the audio and can downmix it to any number of speakers. It seems to work quite well but this isn't tested by me very much.

@tiki4,

Thank you for the reply,
at least I'm not the only one having that problem. ;)

I try to play the 5.1 ogm in the other machine with
soundmax audio & 2.0 speaker, and it works.

Ok, I'll try to install the trombettworks's DS filter.

Thank you.

The new OggDS 0.9.9.3 behaves way too funny. If I try to use the new feature POSTGAIN it crashes Windows Media Player 6.4 in Windows XP. I don't know what is causing that behaviour but I have to look in it for some more time. I guess the silence in the 6 channel case is again Audigy driver related.

@tiki4,

Yes, I think it's Audigy driver related problem, but
I hope the trombettworks's DS will cheat the problem.

@tiki4,

Cool, good news,
I have not tried it yet, since I'm still at the office now.
I'll try tonight, I hope it will work on my machine too.

Wow, the cheat is working! ;)
Now it's time to make Vorbis 5.1 for 1CD Rip, it's 0.33xAC3 Size. ;)
