Hi,

I'm trying to do the comp test for divx5 but after it's finished it won't give me a %. Did I forget something? Isn't the codec installed properly?

thnx

Hi-

Yeah, if it didn't give you the percentage automatically after 10 minutes or so, then something went wrong. So, when setting up the .avs, did you tick "Use" in the Compressibility Check box, and then hit "Now"? To check if the codec is installed, open VDub and then go Video-Compression, and check if DivX5 is listed among the Video Codecs.

Hi,

Well, I did all that, but checking the existence of the codec on mij box turned out it isn't there.
I suppose I need the divxPRObundle for the codec? I installed the normal package.

thnx

Hi-

OK-so no codec, eh? I think I'd first try and reinstall it and then reboot, and then check if it's there. As far as I know, I don't think you're required to have the Pro Bundle. But maybe in the Options Tab of GKnot, make sure that "Use Pro Features" is unchecked.

Well,

Installed the Pro version and it works now. Maybe I could do with the normal version and uncheck the 'use pro' but the pro version does give some extra stuff (usable in Gknot) and my firewall will keep the ad shit outside :)

It's pretty fast too compared to divx3. On to some more experienting.
Thnx for the help though.
