CCE speeds?

Sometimes I'm getting 0.800 to 0.900 range in cce speed. And other times I get only in the 0.400 range. I have defraged the system as well as rebooted the to make sure there was no conflicting program that was running. Any suggestions? Thanks, Will

Well, couple thoughts anyway (though I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about it as long as it ain't crashing you're good!). #1 Do you have Antivirus? If so such it off. How about a scheduler? Besides Defrag make sure you have tweaked your system for best performance possible (XP - Check www.tweakxp.com) other OS do a search at google. Further CCE speed will slow down significantly if you are using avisynth and have loaded additional plugins (say for interlaced video). But again, accept that it is going to take awhile and be grateful it isn't crashing.

btw: I have a P4 1.7/512MB Ram/120GB HDD/Win XP and I average 1.4fp/s running in below normal priority and web surfing in the foreground.
