Link to Guides

I know a lot of people don't read the guides before they post their problems.

One thing I have noticed is, there is no link from the forum page back to the "Home Page" where all the guides, downloads, latest news etc..... reside

I have a strong suspicion they just aren't aware of their existence.

Or if there is a link it's not that obvious.

Any chance of putting a link point to guides and so on ?

OK, so there is a tenuos link, but, it should stand out like a sore thumb !!

Most people don't even go to the rules, let alone read them properly.

Anyway, on the "Home Page" there is far more than just the guides.

I think people are missing a large element of the site, by just using the forum.

They at least should have a chance of getting to the "Front Page".

I agree it should be made more obvious, but at the bottom of every page is the Doom9.org thing which takes you to the main page for the news, guides, downloads, etc.

Your'e right, I've tried it, and it takes to you to where I'm talking about.

But your'e also right, it's not obvious. And this is my point, for a lot of people who visit this site, English is not their first language, and even Internet protocol (like not double posting) is unfamiliar territory to them.

Looking at the "Contact Us > Doom9.org> I thought that would lead to an Email type feature, not the "Home Page".

Just my thoughts.

At the top of each page, it says "Welcome to Doom9's Forum," right? I think maybe it's good idea to put the link to the front page like "Welcome to Doom9 (http://www.doom9.org)'s Forum," or maybe using attractive banner or logo with animated gif and say about guides in the main website or something :)
