Did you mean capture in the WM9 codecs? Nope havent tried.
I have the original AIW and the 8500AIW both can capture in lossless Huffvy AVI or MPEG1-2 and be converted to the new codec.
Have you got the latest ATI MMC ?
You can capture MPEG1 with 48.8hz sound! Set the bit rate as constant, and crank the bitrate all the way to the right to 15mBit/s.
Then you can open it in WME9 and do a 2 pass with audio fiters that will please anyone.
Or you can convert the MPEG to lossless Huffvy, strip the sound out to make 6 different wav files and convert that to an AVI with 6 channels and feed that to WME with that you get even more fun with more filters and 5.1 sound. Killer if you have the soundcard and speakers that support it.

Thanks for answering.
What i mean was to encode directly in Wmv9 with the WME tool.
I have no prob to encode in avi (directly in xvid or through mjpeg codec with VB).
I just wanted to test wmv9 with tv capture. I have the same prob to capture directly with helix when i wanted to test the rv9 codec.
I don't know if the wdm ati capture interface is crap (when i test a wrapper i have no result too) or is those encoder (helix and wme)can't support wdm interface.
If someone has a solution ?
