Hi,
I actually use XviD, but I test with DivX3 now too...
I have any rips in divx3 (not my, downloaded from net) and these look very fine.
I test nandub (with recommended settings) and I have problem. Background of my test movie (after encoding to div3) is very horrible (edge ghosting) :-(
I test encoding at max. quality (only quant=2) and this problem stays. I can't get the quality comparable to downloaded movies... :-(
Why, please?
I use Avisynth with bicubic resize (b=0,c=0.5), fast recompress in nandub. If I use resize plugin in nandub (not Avisynth!), the final product is appreciable better (background is more smooth and immovable, looks better). But I can't still get desired visual quality.
