When creating menus in Maestro I use 720X480 (I think this is correct I'll have to verify when I'm at home) as the size then when I play the completed dvd on my set top the menu looks distorted (16X9 setting). It's not distorted much but just enough to look bad (to me anyway). When I do screen captures from PowerDVD the files are 720X480 but when viewing in photoshop they look odd. Should I design my menus in a different size then resize to 720X480 before importing into Maestro?

If this menu is to be displayed on a 16:9 TV, then you should capture your screenshot at 854x480, then "squish" (that's a technical term) the sides in to 720x480 (use Photoshop's IMAGE SIZE). This should make the menu look funny in Photoshop (everything thin and tall), but will look okay when played on your TV. The TV will "unsquish" (another tech term) the menu to the correct aspect ratio.
