I ripped this at the weekend. Used Smartripper (2.41) Movie Only Mode, then used Ifoedit to get new IFO set. I had to do it twice, it didn't seem to like it first time, but no real problem.

I did have a problem trying to rip the "extra" "For the birds", but even that was sorted out within a couple of days (VOB set 2).

Keep trying, the answer is out there.

No,

I did the Movie as 1 rip, and some of the extras as another. I don't do extras normally, but some of them on this movie are really worth it.

I use CCE and Spruce Up, so it would not be to difficult to do it that way I guess.

If the title has multiple PGCs inside then you will need to use the Scenarist method unless you fancy using Maestro, creating the individual vobs, rejoining them using vobedit and then a calculator to work out the relative cell data. Although LOTR disc 1 was no problem the Maestro way, I'm suprised that you didn't run into problems with Disc 2 as most of the title sets had several PGCs.

On a pc the dvd player will tend to progress to the next sector if something is missing, but a standalone player will just hang if it can't find a required PGC. I find the worst (or perhaps cleverest) titles are Disney ones where prior to playing the main movie they pick up a Warning, DVD logo, Disney logo etc and all are usually PGCs littered across the title sets.

I started with Maestro but although it is quicker for titlesets containing only one PGC (as it doesn't produce multiple PGC ones it doesn't have to mux the individual parts before creating the title set) I don't think you can look beyond Scenarist and although it is more fidely, and doesn't give the flexibility with max bitrate or types of audio streams being used, it always does the job.

I just ripped this movie yesterday and it works perfectly though I did use scenarist because of the VTS_01 set has 2 PGC's. no flaws in the picture quality kept the fullscreeen and widescreen versions and all audio and subs. no problems. what was the process you took to see where you went wrong and are you using maestro?
