servus...

Iīve tried to transcode 3D-animated movies like shrek or Monster Inc. to a smaller size.

Shrek with CCE 2.64 and "Standard CCE Matrix" isnīt the Quality that I want. .

avr. bitrate 4560; 300 min; 9000 max.

GOP m=3 und N/M=5
Image Quality Priority: 12

video:
- add sequence end code
- progressive frames
- zigzag scanning order
- dvd compilant

intra DC precision: 10

---

this is the matrix ripped by REstream:

Shrek vts_01_1.vob to a *.m2v file.

Intra:

8 8 9 11 13 13 14 17
8 8 11 12 13 14 17 18
9 11 13 13 14 17 17 16
11 11 13 13 13 17 18 20
11 13 13 13 16 17 20 24
13 13 13 16 17 20 24 29
13 12 13 17 19 23 28 34
12 13 17 19 23 28 34 41

Non-Intra:

8 8 8 9 9 9 9 10
8 8 9 9 9 9 10 10
8 9 9 9 9 10 10 10
9 9 9 9 10 10 10 10
9 9 9 10 10 10 10 11
9 9 10 10 10 10 11 11
9 10 10 10 10 11 11 11
10 10 10 10 11 11 11 11

The quality is better than the "standard matrix" from CCE.

but can I optimize this?

Just a quick question-- Image quality 12? Why not bring it down to a much more quality-oriented value (5) like shown in the guide?
