i've ripped a dvd with smartripper to my disk. the ac3-files have a delay_0ms in their names, but if i mux the avi and the ac3-files in nandub without skew correction, the result is terribly out of synch. its a 4ch ac3-file with 384 kbit/s and i used 160preload/160ms as interleaving. i tried other interleaving settings, but the result was the same. now i tried several skew settings, and it seems, that the right delay is something ~600ms. my questions are now:
have i done something wrong while ripping, or has smartripper problems with the delay-detection on some dvds?
are the delays certain values or could this be everything? i mean if e.g. 516, 608 and 692 were legal delays, it would be easier to determine that 608 is the one i'm searching. but if it could also be 620 or 590, i don't think i will ever guess the right one :(
