Hey all.. i have some problems with the new XVID encoding...

my way to make a dvd to an avi file is as folow :

1. step : i rip the DVD with Smart Ripper

2. step : i create a DVD2AVI project

3. step : then ill run my DVD2AVI file into a VFAPI converter.

what ill want now is that i will encode the movie in virtual dub. without sound. i know what to do. the only thing hwo confusing me is how i make it fit 1400 mb or 700 mb how do i do that ?

when i read the guide on doom9 they use G KNOT to help... i dont wanna do that... so what can i do ? had it been in nandub there was no problem.... what do i do if i want a movie over 120 min to be 1400 mb ?? my audio bitrate is always 192 kbit/s

Hope any can and will help me :D

In the config for Xvid there is a target file size box (when setting up the second pass of a 2-pass encode)

that should be easy

Just use the bitrate calc, (koepi's buld come with one so do nic's I believe) and put the value given into the codec screen.

is hitting the filesize your problem here?
