I'm a long time user of Virtualdub but since it can't mux mp3 audio I installed Nandub 1.0rc2 build 1853. The problem is that I load an AVI file and even before I select the mp3 track to mux I choose the play buttons either I or O and both play for 1 or 2 seconds, sometimes more, sometimes less then gives the following error:

Dub Error (will attempt to finalize)
Failure streaming AVI file: The supplied user buffer is not valid for the requested operation.

in a pop up window. Is this an installation issue??? I didn't do anything but uncompress into a directory and run the Auxsetup and choose install drivers. Virtualdub plays all the movies just fine, but since it can't mux mp3 unless I convert them into wav (too big/long process) I want to use Nandub. Any other muxing tool would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Stormy

Welcome to the forum, Stormy.

I think I know what the problem is. You must set video to "direct stream copy."

Nandub doesn't speak any video codec but DivX 3. For other codecs, you can only use it for muxing audio.

Doom9 has a guide for muxing audio with Nandub. It's not obvious, as it's under the Vdub procedures. Click on: http://www.doom9.org/virtualdub_procedures.htm#mp3mux
