Help Me, Please!

Hello!
I have created an Iso image (The Wedding Planner) with DVD Decrypter but I can't mount the ISO as virtual DVD disc using Daemon Tools because it seems be damaged!
If I try to burn the DVD image Power DVD says: Error 89020003 - The DVD might be damaged. Why?!
The Wedding Planner.MDS (5 Kb) created by DVD Decrypter works with DAEMON TOOLS.
I tried to use "File Mode" but the VIDEO_TS directory is more than 4.7 GB (7,58 GB exactly). Why?
How can I obtain a 1:1 copy of my DVDs?

Falco,

The DVD you have tried to copy, is a "DVD-9" type, this means a "dual layer".

The type of disc you are trying to burn to is a "DVD-5" type, this is a single layer.

Your movie won't fit onto your new disc. You will need to either take pieces out from the original DVD or re encode the original and "re compress" it to fit your DVD-5 type. (you may have to do both)

You can't buy a DVD-9 type, because they are manufactured by a special process. (2 single layers "glued" together)

I suggest you read up on the topic of DVD ripping before you go much further.

One last point, not all DVD movies are DVD-9 types some (not many) are DVD-5 types, with these, it is possible to do a direct copy.

If this was the case, why would the movie work on a standalone player and not when played in Power DVD?

Visiting the power dvd website, there is a known bug fix for the 89020003 error. I have install the bug fix on my computer and it doesn't work however.

The CD's I am creating the 2nd of 2 or 3rd of 3 CD will have this error. They play fine on my standalone, but not on my computer DVD-ROM (Even with Power DVD bug fix for this error installed). I have contacted their tech support and am waiting to hear back.

to be honest, I'm not sure.

Looking at the original post, my response was to Falco's comment about the files being greater than 4.7GB. that being the case, there is going to be a need to either split the discs, on re encode so that the overall size reduces to less than 4.7GB.

From what you are saying do you split your discs ?

Although I note you mention "CD" was this a slip ? do you mean DVD ?

I used to split DVDs regular with Smartripper, by selecting the first half chapters, (disc 1) then ripping the 2nd half by chapter.

This does mean you keep "maximum quality", but now I re encode using CCE and I can't see any difference, and it all goes on one disc.

No, I use CD's (CR-R). I am making svcd's. I use DVD2SVCD.

I haven't had trouble until recently.

Sorry I can't be of much help, I don't burn to CDs, only DVDs.
