hi,

i am looking for a way to change my user-name.

i chose it long ago in a rush and never really liked it..
it starts to spread though, and i don't like to be known by that name all over. also i wouldn't like to have two names in different places.

i think you can just re-register under a new name.

no need for that (we don't want too many dead accounts).. just ask an admin nicely enough, he can change your name. Of course, a donation always help.. if we have to change the names of 16k users we can just quit our day jobs.

u should be the ultimate admin and since u are in the topic...

i actually would even make a donation but i have trouble paying me rent atm. no joke. the situation in germany is extremely bad for most people i know. the joke - i am a system-adminisrtator (freelancer) i should earn money, but all my clients save as the situation... se above.

To add to the original question, I would like to change my username. However, I don't really care if I change my username on the current account, or stop using the current account and start using a new account with the name I want. The problem is that I don't want to break rule 14. What would be best here considering that I am poor and living largely off of credit cards at the moment?
