View Full Version : Ran Out of Disk Space, DVD2SVCD Won't Recover

I ran out of disk space while DVD2SVCD was converting Brave Heart. I cleaned up some space, but when I tried to use the recovery feature of DVD2SCCD, after I load the *.d2s file, I get the error "File Not Found". What file? TMPGenc completed converting the movie, and it died while creating the 2nd of 3 mpg files using bbmpeg. I would like to finish the bbmpeg process without having to render the whole movie again. Which I can't do, because although I still have the VOB files, the IFO file is missing. This is the first movie I've converted where I used DVD2SVCD to actually rip the movie, and for some reason, don't have an IFO. Is this the file it's looking for???

Here is my log, and I can post my d2s file or any other files if needed:

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!

Rob

I don't know if a missing IFO would cause this or not, but you can find out easily enough by using the 'Create New IFO' feature of IFOEdit, since you still have all the VOBs.

The reason why you are getting that error is because the .ifo file is missing. When you try to use the crash recover methoed it looks for the .ifo file and if you moved or deleted it then it wont work correctly. But like UltimateDBZ said you can recreate the .ifo with IFOEdit.

i don't understand...what files do you have in your directory...from your log you should be able to finish the encoding out manually pretty easily

The best would be to copy ANY ifo of the same filename to your source-directory. If you just recover from muxing&cutting, the ifo won't be used any more, it's only checked at the start to be there.
